Abstract

622,602. Hand trucks. SUDDABY, W. April 1, 1947, No. 8762. [Class 108 (i)] A transporting device to be secured to suitcases or the like comprises a wheel support having angularly disposed members adapted to embrace adjacent sides of the suitcase, which terminate in a common junction, and to hold the wheel or wheels with the wheel-spindle extending parallel to said junction. In the arrangement shown, corner brackets 2 are each provided with sockets 2a, rubber-bushed to receive spindles 8 of detachable wheels 9. Brackets 2 are connected by adjustable elastic members 3 and are connected to handlesupporting brackets 10 by adjustable elastic members 14. A handle 13 is adjustable in width and arranged to slide in sleeves 10c mounted on brackets 10, notches being provided on the arms of the handle to limit its movement when placed in the operative position. The Provisional Specification describes one handle provided with pins to limit its outward movement and another handle pivoted to fold against one side of the suitcase.
