Abstract

635,388. Hand trucks. EYRE, R. W., and CLARKE, A. Jan. 23, 1948, No. 2100. [Class 108 (i)] A wheelbarrow comprises a trough-shaped body 14 having holes 16 at opposite ends, two tubular handle members 1, 2 to which the body 14 is secured by bolts 15, a pair of crossmembers 12, 13 arranged between the body and the tubular members, and having holes at their ends through which bolts 15 pass. A pair of substantially inverted V-shaped members 10, 11 forming legs having a flattened base, is also secured to the tubular members 1, 2 by the bolts 15 and the wheel 18 is mounted on a spindle secured to the flattened ends of the tubular members. A cross-stay 17 may also be provided.
