622,336. Heating moulding preforms. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd. March 11, 1947, No. 6806. Convention date, April 8, 1946. [Class 87 (ii)] A tray for supporting plastic preforms during heating comprises a base 12 having apertures 18 and-handles 17, and two superposed plates 19 having apertures 18A and handles 20. When the tray is in the (radio frequency) heater the preforms rest in the apertures 18A on imperforate parts of the base 12. After the tray has been taken out of the heater and placed in the moulding press the plates 19 are moved to register the apertures 18 and 18A, whereupon the heated preforms drop into the mould cavities. Pin-and-slot connections 24 are provided between the plates and the base.
