Abstract

PURPOSE:To accelerate a molding cycle and to save the power by a method wherein one of two sets of molds is used for the heating part, the other is for the cooling part and the drags of each set are allowed to move individually. CONSTITUTION:Cooling molds 40, 50 are allowed to adjoin a set of molds 20, 30 laterally, on the side of which an extracting device 90 for the molded article is laid. Foaming thermoplastic resin particles are filled, heated and molded in molds 20, 30. Then, the molds are opened, the foam-molded article (a) is left on the drag 30. On the other hand, after the foam-molded article (a) fixed between the molds is cooled in the cooling molds 40, 50 the molds are opened, the foam-molded article (a) is left on the cooling drag 50 and the cooling drag part 50 is allowed to move to the corresponding position of the molded article extracting device 90.
