[Class 143] A balance device for automatic weighing machines comprises two angled weighted levers symmetrically arranged relatively to a common vertical line, wherein guides are attached to each lever, the guides on each lever controlling one of two separate rollers, the said rollers being connected through their pins to a member which carries the pin of a roller compelled to displace itself along a vertical path, which pin carries a rack and together with the axis of the pinion controlled by the rack ' defines the vertical line of movement of said rack. In the drawing, angled levers 6 and 7 are fitted with guides 33, 34, controlling rollers 35 and 36, which are attached to member 37 carrying the hanging pin 38 which carries rack 39 and roller 43, which roller is' compelled to follow upright rods 44.
