Abstract

620,598. Electric resistance furnaces. HEURTEY & CIE. Aug. 6, 1946, No. 23352. Convention date, 'June 23, 1944. [Class 39(iii)] Electric resistances 1 comprising straight or bent metal strips are supported in the arch of a furnace by passing them through triangular closed rings 2 of stainless metal held in hooks 3 which are almost closed and have shanks 4 retained in the arch so as to rotate slightly therein. The shank 4 terminates in a T-shaped head 5 engaging an elongated aperture 6 in a hollow refractory element 7 in the furnace arch and is engaged by rotation through 90 degrees.
