Abstract

620,441. Cigarette - making machines. RUAU, F. F., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. Jan. 17, 1947, No. 1610. [Class 130] In a continuous rod machine tobacco particles or dust are removed from the paper web by a stream of air, or other gas issuing from a nozzle 2 arranged between the garniture 5 and the paste wheel 1, or a paste nozzle. The air or gas nozzle 2, which is supported on a universally-adjustable clamp 6, is directed against the inner surface of the cigarette paper lap, or the part on to which the lap is to be stuck, and towards a suction device 13, like that described in Specification 544,597.
