[Class 69 (iii)] A water sprayer for the distribution of water in water-cooling towers, has a saucer-shaped cup a secured below each outlet nozzle pipe g. The cup has a number of symmetrically arranged, partly spiralling or curved steps b starting from the centre c and radially and gradually curving round until the ends of the steps merge into the rim d. Nozzle g secured to the main feed pipe h may have a raised thread n on its internal face, to impart a twisting movement to the water jet in the same direction as the banking on the cup.
