620,066. Hair-waving appliances. EUGENE, Ltd., and VOSS, H. J. Nov. 25, 1946. No. 34908. [Class 131] A sachet for hair waving comprising a pad of absorbent material to be wetted with a liquid and a backing of sheet material, e.g., paper having an integral marginal portion which when the sachet is rolled on a coil of hair will extend beyond the pad towards the patient's head is characterised in that the marginal portion nearest the patient's head is thicker than the rest of the backing sheet. As shown a portion 18 of the backing sheet 10 is folded over a stiffener 16 of thread or thin plastic rod to provide the thickened edge an absorbent pad 15 being placed on a perforated portion 14 of the backing sheet and folded to flattened tubular form open at both ends so that drainage of excess wetting agent is easy and standardised.
