[Class 108 (iii)] An improvement on the invention of the parent Specification consists in placing between the cylinder 26 and the tank 27, and in parallel with the restrictor valve 32, a second cylinder 33, which contains a free piston exposed on one side to the static pressure of the tank 27. After contact with the ram 25, the work table 24 moves against the resistance caused by static water pressure acting on one side of the free piston; when the latter reaches the end of its travel, movement of the table 24 is further restricted because water can then only flow from the cylinder 26 to the tank through the restrictor valve 32. Travel of the floating piston can be adjusted by a screwed stop 37. When the table has finished its working stroke, the floating piston falls under gravity to the bottom of its cylinder 33, which is for that purpose arranged vertically. A restrictor valve 34 is inserted in the pipe 30 to adjust the initial rate of movement of the table 24.
