[Class 52 (iv)] A spring assembly for a cushion, pillow &c. comprises upholstery springs 5 mounted on each side of flat, flexible spring strips 2 formed of flattened helical coils or sinuously wound wire, the ends of the strips being free. The transverse strips 4 may be similarly constructed or one or more of such strips may be flexible steel laths as in Specification 335,420, [Class 52 (i)]. The assembly may be enclosed in felt and provided with venti. lating means.
