616,505. Supports for portable machines. LEVER BROS. & UNILEVER, Ltd., and DALZIEL, W. Sept. 9, 1946, No. 26992. [Class 83 (iii)] [Also in Group I] A fixture for mounting portable machines or tools for tightening wire round containers &c., comprises a fixed member, a movable member to which the tool is attached, and two stopped joints connecting the members and limiting the spring-influenced movements of the movable member to a near operating position from either the operating position or a clear position to one side. The tool 13 is pivoted to a member 8 between a pair of arms 10 on a horizontal pivot 12, the member being furnished with a second pair of arms 7 pivoted to a horizontal beam 6 on a vertical pivot 9. The vertical and horizontal movements of the tool are limited by stops 20, 21 and are effected by springs 15, 16. Specifications 329,529, [Class 45], 472,637, 473,014 and 559,738 are referred to.
