615,091. Photographic developing apparatus. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORPORATION. Aug. 24, 1946, No. 25364. Convention date, Sept. 27, 1945. [Class 98 (ii)] In gas developing apparatus having developer vaporizing means and a tank having a perforated portion through which developing vapours pass.and also having a belt movable over the perforated part of the tank to feed material to be developed and to restrict escape of developing vapour, a flexible link belt, which may be stationary or may move at substantially the same speed as the feed belt in contact with the perforated portion of the tank, is provided as a support for the material to be developed. As shown, the tank 11 has an inclined perforated side 13 which serves as a bearing for a flexible link-type endless belt 15 driven by the rubber-covered roller 23. Both the tank and belt may be of stainless steel or the belt may be of plastic material. The material to be developed is fed by a rubberized fabric endless belt 12 driven by the roller 21. Inside the tank 11 is provided an ammonia tray 16 with one or more heaters 17. The belt 15 may be driven slightly faster than the belt 12. A sealing plate 49 having clamps 50 and 51 with " Neoprene-" or other flexible sealing strips may be provided. In a modification, the belt is stationary and is welded or clamped to the tank.
