Abstract

611,324. Agricultural machines. HARGREAVES, W., and HARGREAVES & CO., Ltd., W. Feb. 20, 1946, No. 5274. [Class 6 (i)]. Machines for the treatment of turf and like purposes, such as those described in Specification 491,597, comprise implement-carrying draw-bars trailed behind a wheeled chassis and provided with slidablymounted weights j. To lift the tools the weights are moved forwardly, and the draw-bars tilted and swung laterally to clear projections m<SP>1</SP> on a transverse framebar beneath which projections the front ends of the draw-bars are then engaged. The weights are clamped in the channeled draw-bars by transverse plungers k forced outwardly by taper-ended screwed stems l. The draw-bars are loosely attached to the axle a by stirrups d through eyes in which pass pivot-studs e fixed to the bars.
