Abstract

611,167. Drying in electric fields, AMERICAN VISCOSE CORPORATION. April 24, 1946, No. 12329. Convention date, May 5, 1945. [Class 34(ii)] Bulky fibrous masses are dried by applying electric high frequency induction to heat the mass throughout, and then, before all surface moisture has been removed from the fibres in any portion of the mass, interrupting the induction heating and completing the drying by circulation of a heated gaseous medium about the mass.
