610,148. Animal traps. NICHOLLS, J. E., and WYLDE, R. March 28, 1946, No. 9672. [Class 5(i)] An animal trap of the throw-over type comprises a base plate 9 and spring-controlled striker-frame 11 pivotally mounted in lugs 26 on the base. A setting-member 15 is slidably mounted on the base plate and its jaw 16 co-operates with a jaw 31 on the base-plate to hold the bait. A bar 32, pivoted on a frame 33, holds the strikerframe in the elevated " set " position by engaging it at 34 and the other end of the bar 32 engages the setting-member 15 at 36. Movement of the bait by an animal causes the setting member to move back and releases the striker-frame.
