688,612. Animal traps. KEMPSELL, AJune 30, 1948, No. 17555/48. Class 5(i) An animal trap comprises two spring- controlled jaws 3 one of which is provided on its gripping edge with a serrated spring-mounted bar 9, the other jaw being fitted on its corresponding edge with a strip 6 of resilient material such as rubber. The bar 9 shown has end pins 8 working in slots in the jaw and moves against the action of springs 10 which bear against the bar and against a plate 11 carried by the jaw. The strip 6 is held in place by a plate 7. The trap is formed with a base plate 1, bait plate 4, and a bow spring 5 acting on the jaws.
