607,551. Constructing brick walls. GATFORD, H. Feb. 8, 1946, No. 3962. [Class 20(iv)] A method of building walls in situ section by section consisting of assembling in the dry state bricks 12 having plane abutting surfaces, filling the external cracks to form a fluid-tight seal 17 by the application of a cement paste except at the top of the section 13 where flanges 23 are formed and injecting a thin cement slurry under pressure first at the bottom of the wall section and then at higher places as may be necessary through holes previously formed in the external seal and fitted with removable pegs, the slurry thus being caused to percolate upwards until it reaches the top of the section where it wells up into a pool 24, which pool eventually constitutes a mortar joint for the bottom course' of dry bricks in the next section. The slurry is injected by means of a suitable nozzle which may be as shown at 20a having a flat extension with a closed end 21 and side delivery openings 22. Specification 442,223 is referred to.
