Abstract

606,417. Tanks. JARAY, F. F. May 2, 1944, No. 8219. [Class 69 (i)] Concrete tanks for use in breweries, wine factories, &c. have at least a part of the internal walls, such as the part contacting the contained liquid, covered with a layer of cellular concrete or like cementitious product. In a tank battery, the cellular concrete &c. may be applied to only one surface of the wall separating adjacent tanks, whether side by side or superposed. A protective coating of plaster, bituminous paint, &c. may be applied over the cellular concrete &c. to prevent corrosion. Heating or cooling coils may be provided in the tanks. Exposed outer surfaces may also have a layer of cellular concrete &c. thereon. Examples are given, including one in which a concrete tank is cast against a cork wall.
