[Classes 52(i) and 52(ii)] [Also in Group XVII] Cupboards, storage racks, shelves and like pieces of furniture, comprising panels of wood, cardboard or metal disposed in a framework of metal or other material, has the corner structure formed of inner and outer angle section members so disposed and connected as to provide two self-contained channels to accommodate the edges of adjacent panels. Prior to assembly, each outer angle section member may be associated integrally or by welding with another outer angle piece to form an L- shaped member and each inner angle section may be similarly connected to another inner angle section. The framework may be assembled to facilitate dismantling for storage and means provided to retain the panels in position in dismantled sections. As shown applied to a box, the corner structures comprise outer and inner angle pieces A, B, Figs. 3 and 5, with two limbs in abutting relationship and secured together by tongues D which pass through slots C and are bent over to engage slots E. Tongues or projections H may be formed on the inner member to engage the panel G<1>. Alternatively, the abutting inner limb may be provided with U- or J-shaped hooks which project through slots in the outer limb to receive a securing wire or cotter pin, Fig. 14, (not shown). The side framework of the box is formed from four L-shaped members, each consisting of outer vertical and bottom angle section limbs A, A, four L-shaped members consisting each of an inner angle section limb B and a top edge P, an inner rectangular angle section frame B-B for the bottom and an outer rectangular angle section frame J for the lid. The L-shaped members may be formed by connecting two angle section pieces together by welding or by bending a single angle section member to L-shape prior to welding, as in Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown). For retaining the panels in position in dismantled sections, T- or channel-shaped member U, Fig. 15, is secured to the frame member at both ends by tongues W<1>, W<2>, one of which is bent over to engage the panel G'.
