605,558. Dynamometers. SMITH, A. MACKLOW-, and MACKLOW-SMITH, Ltd., A. Feb. 8, 1945, No. 3212. [Class 106 (ii)] A dynamometer comprises a disc 4, a base member 3 having a recess slightly larger in diameterthan the disc, an elastic joint 5 between the base member and the disc, said joint being subjected to strain which is. practically all by shear when a load is placed on the disc, a space 6 being filled with liquid and means, for measuring the pressure in the liquid, comprising a similar device in combination with a proving ring 10 and a deflectometer 11.
