605,118. Wringing-machines. FOLLOWS & BATE, Ltd., and McMILLAN, D. Dec. 14, 1945, No. 33917. [Class 138(ii)] Each pressure lever F of a wringing- machine is pivoted within the head-rail B of the machine in an anchor bracket J. which is secured directly to the top of the inside of the head-rail by one or more rivets, welding or the like. The bracket J, which is U-shaped in cross-section, is provided in each side wall with an inverted substantially V-shaped slot K, the base of which constitutes a bearing for the pivot pin H of the pressure lever. Two pressure levers F are provided, one co-operating with the bearings at each end of the upper roller C. A. link G connects the two levers F, and is engaged by the shaft M of the pressure-adjusting handle N, a compression spring O being interposed between the handle and the head-rail B.
