Abstract

602,813. Photographic objectives. KODAK, Ltd. Aug. 9, 1945, No. 20464. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1944. [Class 97 (i)] In an objective comprising four coaxial components separated by air, of which the two outer ones are positive and the inner ones compound negative menisci highly concave towards each other, the second component consists of a biconvex element of refractive index less than 1.56 and dispersive index greater than 55 cemented to the front of a biconcave element whose refractive index is at least .08 greater and whose dispersive index is at least 20 less than that of the biconvex element. The third element may consist of a positive element of refractive and dispersive indices respectively greater than 1.68 and 45 cemented to the back of a biconcave element, whose refractive index is less by .15 and whose dispersive index is less than that of the biconvex element.
