Abstract
602,227. Coffee mills. KULA, W. March 22, 1946, No. 8880. [Class 59] A coffee mill comprises a cylindrical casing 10 of a size convenient for holding in the hand, a fixed annular cutter 11 mounted transversely therein and a rotary cutter 13 carried on a spindle 14 which projects through the end-cap 20 of the casing, the cutter 13 being adjusted vertically by means of a nut 18 held by a lock-nut 19 and bearing against a cross-bar 17 inside the casing. The handle 15, 16, may be removed from the operating position and placed on the side of the mill, the spindle fitting into a socket on the knob 16 and a peg 22 on the side of the casing fitting in a key-hole slot 23 in the arm 15. The peg 22 may be used in conjunction with a detachable fitting or bracket for supporting the mill, when in use, on the edge of a table.
