Also in Group XXV] A mounting to which various food-treating machines, such as a mincer 22, may be releasably secured comprises a hollow body 1 carrying under its base a rubber or like suction pad 3 adapted to grip a smooth surface such as that of a kitchen table. As shown, a metal plate in the pad 3 has an upright flange 5 having a slot receiving a cranked portion of a shaft 9 rotatably mounted in the body 1 so that rotation of the shaft, by means of a handle 11, lifts the flange 5 and pad 3 to a dished shape to' create the necessary suction. The upper end of the body 1 has parallel flanges 16 with inclined inner walls to form a seating for a corresponding tenon on a depending cylindrical stem on the mincer 22, the stem being gripped, after insertion in the body 1, by a screw 21. The components of the mounting may be readily disengaged for cleaning, the shaft 9 being located in the body 1 by a neck on the shaft co-operating with a keyhole slot in the body.
