Abstract

600,106. Vehicle wheels. TYDEMAN G. Oct. 1, 1945, No. 25388. [Class 144 (i)] A device for positioning or centering a bicycle wheel between the forks consists of a spring clip formed by shaping a metal blank to provide an arched channel C, having aligned end-slots B to fit over an adjacent pair of spokes, and conical edge-beads D. As shown in Fig. 5, the channel C is sprung up against the wheel rim with the parts D engaging the side-walls of the tyre. The wheel is then partially rotated to jam the beads D evenly between the forks whilst the wheel is being tightened on the axle.
