598,208. Ear-clips. BRADLEY, S. G., and GILBERT, V. A. Sept. 1, 1945, No. 22521. [Class 43] [Also in Group XXV] A spring clip for jewellery, e.g., an ear clip, comprises a sheet metal ornament carrier 5 provided with two spaced coaxial hinging knuckles 6 having opposing ends in the form of inclined ramps 6c merging into squared edges 6d, and an approximately U-shaped resilient wire member 1 having outwardly turned ends 4 engaging in the knuckles 6. The inclined edges 6c retain the member 1 in closed position against the back plate 5, but on opening the clip the squared edges retain the member 1 in open position.
