[Class 16] In an autographic register, the continuous strip provided with longitudinally spaced perforations or like formations, is fed by a pin on a reciprocating carrier and is held by a stationary pin on the apparatus, the pins being so formed that the strip can be fed only in one direction. As shown in Figs. 1, 4, and 6, the base 2 resting in a recess in the top of a table 1 or the like has a tracker board 4 over which a frame 14 connected to two side slides 10 and connected by a bar 16 can be reciprocated. Each slide 10 moves in a grooved track 9 at the side of the tracker board 4 and carries at its forward end a forwardly inclined feeding pin 13 adapted to engage a perforation in the margin of a web of connected record sheets 5 which is supplied through a slot at the back of the base 2. At its front end the tracker board 4 has two forwardly inclined pins 18 adapted to engage a second pair of perforations in the sheet 5 and hold it while the frame 14 is moved to the rear. Ledges depending from the frame 14 near the pins 13 press the sheet into engagement with the pins. In a modification, Figs. 8, and 11, a cross-bar 24 connecting the slides 10 at their front ends has a recess 26 with two forwardly inclined half pins 13a at the sides thereof adapted to engage perforations in the top of a sheet. A bar 22 at the front of the tracker board 4 has two forwardly inclined half pins 8a mounted on a projection 27 and adapted to engage in the same perforations as the pins 13a when the frame has been moved forward, each half pin 18a co-operating with a half pin 13a to form a whole pin in this position.
