595,875. Cow-milking machines. HORSTMANN, B. G., and HORSTMANN GEAR CO., Ltd. June 14, 1945, No. 15096. [Class 84] [Also in Group XXIX] A trap for milk leaking into a suction line 4 of a cow-milker, e.g. through a split liner in a teat-cup, comprises a jar 1 of glass &c. housing a float 8 normally resting on a gauze partition 11 which prevents froth rising past the float and entering the suction line 4. The pulsation chamber of a teat-cup is connected to a nozzle 3 terminating in a pipe 5 so that milk entering the trap raises the float 8, which is guided at 10, and closes a valve 9 which may be of mushroom, ball or needle form.
