557,996. Cow-milkers. GASCOIGNES (READING), Ltd., GASCOIGNE, G. H., and KNOX, J. R. Sept. 16, 1942, No. 13073. [Class 84] [Also in Group XXIX] Milk from a cluster of teat-cups is collected by pipes 2 into a central cavity 5 in the valve casing 1 subjected to suction through the pipe 3. A capmember 6 contains nozzles 8 leading to the pulsation apparatus and to the nozzles associated with the teatcups. Milking having been completed and the valve 4 turned to the 'off' position, the pipes are cleared by admitting air. For this purpose the valve is lifted, a clearance 11 being provided between the valve and cap.
