593,823. Foldable chairs. RYND, C. La T. June 13, 1945, No. 14985. [Classes 52(ii) and 52(iii)] A foldable chair has two side frames of X-form, each comprising two legs 1, 2, a back 4 which is pivotally connected to the front legs 1 at 5, and links 6 or the like which are pivoted to the lower end of the back 4 and to the back legs 2, so that in opening or closing the chair the lower end of the back moves in circular fashion on the links 6. In the open position the end of the back 4 rests on the back legs 2, and in the closed position the back 4 is next to the back legs 2.
