879,897. Folding chairs. STAKMORE CO. Inc. April 13, 1960, No. 13278/60. Class 52(2). A folding chair has a front leg assembly 10, comprising legs 11, 12 connected to a rail 14, connected to a rear leg assembly 20, comprising legs 21, 22 connected to a rail 24, by side members 32, 34 each having an intermediate hinge joint 44 and hinged at either end to the leg assemblies. A seat member 50 is hinged to the front leg assembly by a hinge 52 so that when it is swung upwardly side members 32, 34 can be folded inwardly, a seat brace arm 56 being pivoted to the bottom of the seat and to rear leg assembly 20 to cause automatic folding.
