Abstract
593,454. Deodorising and disinfecting devices. CALMIC, Ltd., and WARD H. Aug. 31, 1945, No. 22418. [Class 81 (i)] Deodorised and/or disinfected air is produced by periodically passing a liquid into the base of a container having a pad or wad of, or impregnated with, a volatile disinfecting and/or deodorising material, at its upper end, to force air in said container through said wad or pad, and then withdrawing said liquid from the container to recharge it with air. The deodorising device may consist of a container 1 having at its upper end a cap 2 with openings 3 and a tray 4 supporting the disinfecting and/ or deodorising material 5 and connected at its lower end to the flush pipe 6 by a scoop 8. The amount of water passing into the container may be regulated by rotating the scoop 8 and also by adjusting the set screw 11.
