792,208. Smokers' ash-trays; disinfecting devices. MAYBORN PRODUCTS, Ltd. Nov. 22, 1956 [Dec. 5, 1955], No. 34871/55. Classes 81 (1) and 130. An ash-tray 10 has a detachable cup portion 14 which is secured, e.g. by pimples or " pops " 19 or screw threads, to the outside of a well 11, constitutes the base of the ash-tray and provides a cavity 17, the side walls of the cup bounding the cavity having perforations 18. The cavity accommodates an air freshener block or perfume pad, e.g. perfume-impregnated paradichlorbenzene or naphthalene. The ashtray may be made wholly or partly of metal or plastic.
