Abstract

593,054. Signs. MOORE, H. A. May 15, 1945, No. 12226. [Class 3 (ii)] Edge - illuminated signs have grooves, &c. 18 delineating the design, &c. formed on the back 19 of the transparent sheet 10, the grooves &c. being cut deeper into the sheet the farther away they are from the illuminated upper edge. The grooves may be coated or filled with coloured material, or be made reflective. The sheet 10 may be coloured, or covered by a second coloured sheet. The upper and/or lower edge of the sheet may be bevelled, and the edge-illumination may be by light reflected by an adjustable mirror. Specification 523,706 is referred to.
