Abstract
592,718. Cabinets; tables. BLACKBURN, W. H. May 7, 1945, No. 11614. [Classes 52(iii) and 52(v)] A fitting for installation in a house by fixing its back to a wall is constructed of a frame a, with a frame b and containing cupboards such as d and a drawer e, and having hinged to the front beneath the cupboards and at g a table top f supported in use by a leg h, or pair of legs, capable of being folded underneath the table so that the top may be turned down to close the lower part of the front and be secured by a catch carried on a rotatable rod p connected to a releasing lever in the side of the fitting. The upper end of the leg h is inserted into a bracket j under the table and locked in its position of use by bayonetfastening slots h<1>, Fig. 4, engaged by a cross-pin fixed in the bracket j. A sleeve k pivotally mounted on the cross-pin is made friction-tight with the interior of the leg to retain it in its set positions.
