[Class 18] A sifting top for a container for powdered or fine granular products consists of a cap 8 the flange 5 of which fits frictionally or otherwise within or around the container mouth, a recess 9 in the top being perforated at 11 to register in one position with apertures 12 in a rotatable disc 10 formed with a projecton 16 for manipulation and retained in position by a securing ring 13. In another form the disk 10 is not apertured but is arranged so that one half can fold upwardly about a diameter to uncover the apertures 11, whereafter the disk may be rotated to cover the apertures. A finger hole is provided in the edge of the disk to facilitate lifting.
