588,852. Bread-making. LUNDSTROM, K. E., and SVENSSON, A. B. Jan. 26, 1945. No. 2077. [Class 28 (i)] In pricking dough passing between rolls 2 and 3 by pins on the periphery of the roll 2 the pins are kept free of adhering dough by brushing rolls 7 and 8 which also contact each other and have different speeds. The smaller brush roll 8 cleans the upper part of the pins while the brush roll 7 gets down to the periphery of the roll 2. The brush roll 8 receives dry flour from hopper 5 through a distributor 6 and applies it to pricking roll to prevent dough adhering to the pricking pins. All the rollers are driven by inter-meshing gearing but the' roll 3 may be driven from 2 by a friction disc 9. The power drive may be communicated first either to the roll 2 or to the roll 3.
