Abstract
676,379. Moulding dough. SOC. ANON. PRIMO ISTITUTO DIETETICO ITALIANO RINALDO ROSSI. Sept. 20, 1949 [Oct. 7, 1948], No. 24155/49. Class 87(ii) Dough sticks and rolls are formed by pressing a band of dough 6 between rotating rollers 1, 2 at least one of which has circumferential grooves 3 separated by circumferential lands 4 which contact the other roller and squeeze the dough into the grooves to form it into separate strings. The rollers 1, 2 are geared together. The dough strings 8 pass from the rollers into guides 7, arranged fan-wise, which deliver them on to a conveyer 10. Reciprocating cutter 12 is driven by crank-disc 13 which also serves to drive intermittently the conveyer 10 and the rollers 1, 2 through ratchet and pawl mechanisms 18 and 19. The cutter descends whilst the rollers and conveyer are at rest. The lower roller is cleaned by a brush 9. Specifications 444,530 and 477,464 are referred to.
