587,436. Vacuum cleaners. VAN DER HEEM N. V. June 26, 1941, No. 8067. Convention date, Nov. 4, 1940. [Class 8 (i)] The body of a vacuum cleaner is pivotally mounted on a travelling under-carriage 9, an extension 14 of the suction nozzle carrying a pin 15 clamped in position by an apertured flat portion 17 of the rear axle held under tension by a spring and releasable by a pedal 18. A height-indicating plate 23 is operated through a bell-crank 25 on tilting the body. Specification 506,513 is referred to.
