587,156. Explosives. MOODIE, G. F. A. PIGOT-. Dec. 20, 1943, No. 21339. [Class 9 (ii)] A liquid or semi-liquid explosive comprises mono-nitrobenzene, nitric acid and an oxygengiving substance such as potassium chlorate, which may be in colloidal suspension in mineral oil or acetone. The explosive may contain also ammonium nitrate and glycerine (in which case nitroglycerine is present) finely-divided gun-cotton in suspension in water, graphite, gum arabic, gum tragacanth and shellac. Bentonite may be present to occlude one or more of the liquids.
