[Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i)] A building element 20 comprises rows of ribs 22, 23, which are thickened and perforated at the areas of intersection 24. Two elements 20a, 21a, Fig. 4, separated by felt or bitumen washers 28 are bolted or otherwise secured together to form a building unit. The units can be modified to form wall junctions and in one modification the joint is covered by an extension on the outer element of one of the units ; in another modification, a wall unit is formed integrally with a ledge to support a floor, and the unit also supports a roof.
