Abstract

An alloy for use as anode in the electrode-position of zinc contains at least 90 per cent. by weight of zinc and 0.1-2 per cent., preferably 1-2 per cent., by weight of sodium. The alloy may also contain one or more of the metals magnesium, mercury, aluminium. It may also contain one or more of the metals copper, tin and lead.
