584,702. Vehicle windows. CHESTON, A. S., EDMONDS, E. C., CHESTON, B., and OLDHAM, F. A. M. Nov. 10, 1944, No. 22148. [Class 20 (iii)] In half-drop or other sliding type vehicle windows in which the sliding panel 6 moves over the outside of a fixed panel 1 which is removably mounted in a rubber or other resilient glazing strip 2 co-operating at one side with an abutment or flange 4, the abutment &c. is located inwards of the outside edge of the window aperture and intermediate the planes of the panels, and the glazing strip is removable from the interior of the vehicle. As shown, the flexible edge 3 of the strip is sprung over an inner lip 10 of the frame 5; or the strip may be grooved to engage an upstanding flange on the frame as described in Specification 525,322 except that its position is reversed so that the flexible edge is presented towards the vehicle interior.
