Abstract

Copolymers of vinyl halides with dialkyl fumarates, dialkyl maleates, dialkyl chloromaleates or vinylidene halides are stabilised by adding 0.2 to 10 per cent by weight of a zinc salt of an organic acid. Specified zinc salts are the acetate, propionate, laurate, stearate, crotonate, butyrate, valerate, oleate, myristate, palmitate, maleate, citrate, phthalate, lauratediethyl - amine, thiophenol, thiocresolate, diethyldithiocarbamate and diaminodithiocarbamate.
