Abstract

584,416. Trailer vehicles. ENSOR CARAVANS, Ltd., and ENSOR, C. A. Dec. 2, 1944, No. 24117. [Classes 108 (i) and 108 (ii)] A two-wheeled trailer vehicle is rendered steadier when subject to variable loads or different impulses from towing vehicles by providing a main chassis 1, and a longitudinally adjustable complementary chassis 4 connectable to the towing vehicle. The main chassis 1 carries transverse bars 2 with projecting ends on which the chassis 4 slides, or alternatively, studs, lugs, or rollers may be provided. Spring-pressed bolts 5 connected by chains 9 to a rotatable head 10 engage selected apertures 7 in the chassis 4, and may be withdrawn for adjustment by rotation of a telescoping rod 11, 12 carrying a handle 13. The two chassis are adjusted in relative position by a threaded rod 16 with which the handle 13 may be engaged.
