583,783. Printing-machines ; printing- surfaces. HEYMANN, B. A. Dec. 5, 1944, No. 24294. [Class 100 (ii)] An apparatus for printing or embossing designs on walls or other surfaces such as described in Specifications 566,077, 566,079 and 566,080 is provided with index marks 25, Fig. 3, on each side of the printing-roller, or on each side of a printing- band, in order to secure matching of the recurrent designs in different stripes of the patterns produced. As applied to a roller 20 the marks 25 are formed on end discs 24 which rotate with the roller, and which serve to constrain laterally the flexible printing- member 23 which is supported by resilient spokes 22. The index marks are directed towards the wall to be printed.
