Abstract

583,674. Adjustable brackets. EDUCATIONAL SUPPLY ASSOCIATION, Ltd., and PHILLIPS, A. Nov. 15, 1944, No. 22558. [Class 52 (v)] An adjustable bracket comprises a plate 10, which is secured to a fixed structure, and a block 11, which carries an adjustably supported object, the plate 10 and block 11 being provided with mutually engaging serrations 16, 20 on the plate and block respectively, and the serrations being inclined to the horizontal. The block 11 may slide in a channel in the rear face of a roller track 12 of a door or the like, and the parts 10, 11 and 12 are locked together by the bolt 13, the slot 17 in the plate and slot 21 in the block allowing for relative displacement of the plate and block in a vertical and horizontal direction respectively. Coarse vertical adjustment is obtained by moving the block 11 vertically with respect to the plate 10, while a fine vertical adjustment is obtained by moving the block 11 horizontally. The head of the bolt 13 fits between two vertical ribs on the back of the plate 10, and is thus prevented from turning while the nut 14 is being tightened.
