Abstract

582,682. Band clips. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Aug. 29, 1944, No. 16404. Convention date, Sept. 13, 1943. [Class 44] [Also in Group XXXVI] A band clamp, Fig. 2, bendable into the form of a loop has interlocking reversely-bent hooked portions at its two ends which cooperate to prevent the band expanding outwardly, means being provided on the hooked portions for preventing lateral separation. One hooked end 13 may be U-shaped and the other hooked end 15 have a T-shaped extension 17 co-operating with the end 13. The clamp may have a bridge portion 21, Fig. 9 engaging a tongue 6 on a resilient clip 3 secured against the head 2 of a beam 1. The band may be insulated by an inner lining of sponge rubber 11 so as to carry electric conductors c. Specification 580,296 is referred to.
