[Class 44] A resilient band clip comprises at one end a slot 11 and an integral pawl 41 and at the other end a tongue having outwardly-projecting teeth 32 adapted to enter the slot and coact with the pawl The band is formed of twc side strips 15, 16 joined by outwardly-arched bridges 20-23. The clip is first applied to a conduit &c. in the partially-closed position by passing the tongue under the bridge 20 and lugs 45, and engaging the rearmost tooth with the lugs 45. The final clamping is obtained by causing the teeth to pass beneath the pawl until a tooth is engaged by shoulders 43 on the pawl. To avoid back-lash, the face of each tooth very nearly conforms to an arc, about the anchored end of the pawl.
